About Meadam

My name is Adam Wagler. This web site is made to inform anyone who comes across it that I offer affordable, quality graphics and web design services to who ever needs it. If you would like more information about what services I provide or would like a copy of my rates please email me and I will respond as soon as possible.

I have been professionally designing graphics and web sites for seven years, but my love for art and design began long before. In high school I enjoyed every aspect of art class especially drawing with any type of media. After graduating I continued to study art at the Iowa State University College of Design. There I majored in Visual Studies with an emphasis in Drawing, Photography, & Computer Graphics. I finished in four and a half years, which included a semester (4 months 8/2000-1/2001) abroad in Swansea, Wales.

My first "real" job started during my last semester at ISU. I received an internship at a small production company called, Time Frame Productions, Inc. in Des Moines, IA. After 4 months as an intern I was hired on full time to reformat their web site making it a marketing tool for the sales department. Along with the web, I helped create graphics and small animations for video programs that Time Frame produced. Sadly, as a result of September 11th, 2001, which slowed business, the 21 year old company closed their doors on June 25th, 2002. The sales department was sold and became Time Frame Learning and the production department continued independently as TS Media.

Soon after Time Frame Productions closed I moved to Tucson, Arizona. While looking for a new full-time position I did freelance design work for Iowa State University's Creative Writing program and also work part-time in a Kmart warehouse.

At the beginning of January 2003 I was hired on at US EXPO & convention services, which is a trade show decorator in Tucson, Arizona. I worked as the Web Designer and Graphics Manager, maintaining www.usxpo.com and producing a wide variety of graphics for trade shows and conventions. Graphics include large-format printing, mounting, & laminating, floor plans, and IDsigns to name a few. On top of US EXPO I am always seeking other freelance projects to provide extra experience in my field.

In July of 2006 my wife and I moved back to the Midwest where I currently work at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. I am the Webmaster / Computer Support (UNL CoJMC Website) along with being in charge of their digital camera check out room and teaching lab classes.

I have also been designing freelance graphics for different people and organizations throughout the years. Projects range from CD layouts for bands, web sites, coupons, fliers, stickers, t-shirts, wedding photography, etc. Please check out my portfolio to see examples.

Hobbies of mine include: hanging out with my wife, Maddy, being with friends, working on my computer, learning and reading books to improve my skills. I have networked my home computers and look forward to putting together my own computer from scratch. I played drums in a band, Blank Skeme, for almost five years, a country band, Moonshine Radio, and briefly for Johnny on the Rocks. I also play guitar whenever I can. Lastly, I enjoy traveling, drawing, black and white and color photography, and continually learning about all the new technology available now.
