These drawings were created in 2000-01. I started with a sheet of 150lb watercolor paper and coated it with gesso. Next, I drew a rough sketch with pencil, then added a light layer of of chalk pastels and sprayed it. After that I drew the main colors on there with oil pastels pressing hard to create a nice texture on the paper. I added ink to outline and make shadows then let dry. Finally scratched the drawing with an exact o-knife to pull out highlights and a sense of motion. All drawings have come from dreams I keep track of in a sketchbook. Sizes are 15" x 21" & 21" x 15".
